Fashion Show Mall LED Video Spectacular

The front door of the Strip’s largest retail destination recently got a lot brighter and more entertaining with the completion of new and dynamic LED video displays. GGP Fashion Show in Las Vegas LED video displays include LED video columns, billboard, marquee pylon displays and curved indoor LED video. Massive in size, covering a combined 10,000 square feet and reaching 112 feet at its tallest point, the signage encompasses 12-plus million LEDs, approximately 7,000 LED modules, 281 trillion colors and 69 speakers on 68 amplifier channels capable of 48,000 watts at maximum output.

The Plaza of Fashion Show Las Vegas – the front door of the Strip’s largest retail destination, became a lot brighter and more entertaining with the completion of new and dynamic LED video displays created and developed by Daktronics. The new displays were part of a redevelopment and expansion of Fashion Show’s Plaza that fronts the property along Las Vegas Boulevard. Fashion Show’s new LED video displays are a shining example of what can be achieved with Daktronics leading as project designer, LED sign provider and acting as general contractor. From providing initial rendering concepts, engineering drawings and offering a comprehensive and thorough project approach, Daktronics helped educate the Fashion Show decision team so they felt comfortable with the project. In total, the signage encompasses 12+ million LEDs, 4+ million pixels and 69 speakers on 68 amplifier channels capable of 48,000 watts at maximum output. They cover the entire plaza organized into 20 zones to provide customizable coverage for everything from localized background music to small concert level performances. In addition, Daktronics also renovated the iconic three-screen LED video display over the runway inside Fashion Show’s Great Hall. Fashion Show’s distinct content was provided by a variety of content creation teams who worked in concert with one another. Daktronics brought in New York City-based Show+Tell, in partnership with Las Vegas-based Brian Henry Design, who created a full menu of programming for the platform. This included 3-D animated Fashion Show brand spots, three animated mood spots featuring iconic Las Vegas imagery, a curated Artist in Residence program from up-and-coming artists, and Instagram Selfie Spotlight, a custom application that gives Las Vegas visitors the opportunity to take an Instagram selfie and then their see face larger-than-life on the Las Vegas Strip.
